FAQ

Questions about custom AI development, answered plainly.

The things Tampa Bay business owners ask us most about AI agents, internal tools and how a build works. Don't see yours? Call 813-793-4700.

What does ShowTech.ai actually build?

Custom AI agents, internal apps and integrations for small and mid-sized businesses. Common builds include accounts payable and invoice approvals, AI email triage and drafting, dashboards and scorecards, budgeting tools, internal tools like intake forms and onboarding checklists, and integrations that connect Microsoft 365, Outlook and your other business software.

How is this different from AI consulting?

We're the build team. Consulting helps you decide where AI fits; ShowTech.ai designs, builds, tests and supports the actual tool. Our discovery call is practical: we look at one process and tell you whether a small app or agent would fix it.

What is an AI agent, in plain English?

It's a piece of software that watches for something to happen (a new email, a new invoice, a submitted form, the end of the week), does a task that normally needs a person to read and think a little, and then hands the result to the right place. Ours are built to stop and ask a person before anything important happens.

Will the AI send emails or pay bills on its own?

Not by default. Every build includes human approval gates for anything that leaves your organization or moves money. The agent can draft, code, sort and suggest. A person on your team approves.

How long does a build take?

It depends on the problem, so we don't quote a timeline before scoping. What we can promise is the rhythm: we build in short sprints and you see working software every week or two, so you're never waiting months to find out if it works.

How much does custom AI development cost?

It depends on the scope, which is why we start with a free discovery call and then a written scope for one problem. We'll be upfront about cost before any build starts, and we'll often recommend starting smaller than you expected.

Is it secure?

Security is built in: MFA on every login, Microsoft 365 single sign-on where it applies, internal tools that stay internal until reviewed, human approval gates, testing and audit trails. ShowTech has run managed IT and cybersecurity in Tampa Bay for more than 16 years and holds the GTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark.

Does it work with Microsoft 365 and Outlook?

Yes. Microsoft 365 and Outlook are where many of our builds live, from inbox triage to sign-in. We also connect other business tools so your team stops copying data between systems.

We're in a regulated industry. Can you still help?

Often, yes. Tell us early about the kinds of data involved and we'll design with that in mind and help you prepare. Final compliance decisions should be reviewed by the appropriate owner in your organization; we won't promise a compliance outcome.

Who supports the tool after launch?

We do. Builds get updates, monitoring and help desk support, like the rest of your IT. Your team calls 813-793-4700 and reaches a real person, typically in under four minutes.

Do we have to be a ShowTech managed IT client?

No. Existing clients get the easiest path because the tool plugs straight into the support they already have, but we build for businesses across Tampa, St. Pete, Clearwater and the rest of Tampa Bay either way.

Does ShowTech use these tools itself?

Yes. Built by ShowTech, used by ShowTech: we build and run our own AI agents and internal apps to run our business, so we've felt the rough edges before you do.

What should I bring to the discovery call?

One annoying process. Who does it, how often, what systems it touches and what it costs you in time or mistakes. Examples help. We'll talk through whether it's a fit, and if it isn't, we'll say so.

Bring us one annoying process.

A free discovery call with a real person at ShowTech. Tell us where the copy-and-paste lives, and we'll tell you honestly whether a small app or agent would fix it.
